Enjoy Family Shows in the Enchanted Forest at Groombridge Place over the Bank Holiday Weekend

Visit Groombridge Place Enchanted Forest & Gardens near Tunbridge Wells over the August Bank Holiday and explore one of Kent’s most popular attractions as well as enjoy the ‘Meet the Snow Sisters and Spidey’ theatrical event taking place at Crusoe’s World in the Enchanted Forest on 27, 28 and 29 August 2022.

Organised by Once Upon a Wish Events, this new and exciting event will include meeting the Snow Sisters and Spidey before enjoying a summer trail around the gardens.  It will then be time to enjoy the shows at Crusoe’s World.  The live ‘Frosty Tales’ show will include a surprise visit from a well-known snowy guest!  And after the birds of prey show at noon, everyone can head back to Crusoe’s World for ‘Fairytale Fun in the Sun’ with games, dancing, superhero lessons and storytelling.  The Snow Sister and Spidey will be saying goodbye to visitors later in the day at the admissions area.

Crusoe’s World is the perfect backdrop for this fairytale adventure and the event is included in the price of a general admission ticket. Megablaster World will also be at Groombridge Place with their NERF laser arena every day from 23 August to 29 August 2022. No prebooking necessary and half hour sessions will be £5.

The wider forest is also waiting to be discovered with a pathway which leads you deep into the beautiful forest past water pools, huge oak trees and a large spiders web before entering Teepee Village with its wigwams, giant totem pole and new wooden fort. Don’t miss the amazing Giant Tree Swings at the top of the forest.

The canal boat will be operating daily to take visitors on a relaxing journey along the canal to Crusoe’s World. Fares £1.50 for adults and £1 for children.

The popular Birds of Prey Shows will take place daily at 12 noon and 3.30 with a variety of impressive birds including owls, eagles and falcons.

Enjoy a walk round the renowned gardens which overlook the impressive historic moated manor house which was used in the 2002 film ‘Pride and Prejudice’ starring Keira Knightley.

Being surrounded by beautiful countryside, Groombridge Place is also a relaxing place to enjoy peace and quiet and observe all the wildlife which has made the Enchanted Forest home including a herd of wild Fallow Deer often seen grazing at the edge of the meadows. 

A refreshment corner at Crusoe’s World offers freshly prepared BBQ food in addition to hot and cold drinks and snacks. Peacock café at admissions offers a choice of tasty choices as well as ‘Peacocks Little Lunch Box’ for children at £5.95. Ther are also ploughman’s platters, wraps, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and homemade muffins in addition to ice creams and hot and cold drinks.

An extensive gardening section has recently been opened for visitors to enjoy with beautiful summer plants available to purchase for your own garden.

Why not travel by steam train on the Spa Valley Railway which has a stationat Groombridge.  Groombridge Place is only a 5 minute walk from the Station.

Groombridge Place will be open from 9am until the gates close at 6pm. The attraction will be open daily in school holidays and on bank holidays.
